I bought a pair of purple sneakers. This was partially a rebellion against my internalized homophobia, but mostly because I like the color purple. Can we all fucking drop our preconceived notions about colors being attached to identity? Purple does not have a gender, sexuality or anything of the sort. Wearing it does not make me less masculine, nor does it make me any more gay or “fabulous”. It’s just a damn color.
With that said, it’s probably clear that I have a lot of feelings about today’s Hot or Not topic. While purple and pink are (obviously) not the same color, they come with similar associations and pseudo-macho baggage. So let’s get down to business! Would you turn down a hot guy just ’cause he’s wearing pink, or would you respect him more for saying “fuck the world” and rocking it like a champ? Leave a comment with your thoughts as soon as you’re done stroking to pictures of David Vic (who is also my new boyfriend).

I’m going with pink clothes are not hot only because I don’t find clothes, in general, hot. They’re just clothes. Much more interested in the guy wearing them.
Also, side note. If a guy turns you down because he thinks the clothes you’re wearing aren’t manly, wouldn’t being that fabulously focused on clothes be like the kettle calling the pot black?

It’s not that I dislike the color pink, personally I wear it myself often, but I will say that for the most part I am predispositioned to think that guys wearing pink are probably tools and full of themselves.
Some guys can pull it off and some can’t.

Who cares what color the clothes are once they are on the floor? Truthfully, it depends on where it clashes with his skin tone. Some people like myself cannot pull off pink.

If he can wear it well, and it doesn’t clash with his natural skin tones, I say go for it. Wear it and show that you don’t care about stereotypes. I wouldn’t have an issue dating someone who wore pink. The clothes don’t matter to me, it’s the personality

One of my straight guys friends wears pink shoes and purple shirts all the time. He totally rocks it. I would never question a guys sexuality by the clothes that he wears, unless it is quite clear that he is a flaming queen. Some guys have sick fashion sense, and pull of the bright colours really well.
