Can You Be Sued For Lying When You Give Blood?

Several months ago, we asked if you've ever lied to donate blood, by saying that you've never had gay sex. Most of your answers fell into two distinct categories. Some folks said things along the lines of, "I don't want anything that doesn't want me." Others argued that a little fib doesn't hurt anyone, particularly in a case where it could save a life.

Well, a Canadian man named Kyle Freeman fell into the latter group of logic, and now Canadian Blood Services is suing him for not telling the truth. Freeman is healthy, HIV-negative and wholly admits to his lie. He's also suing them back for discrimination. Well, this could get interesting!

HIV Vaccine Gives Hope

For the first time in the history of HIV/AIDS research, a vaccine has been developed that has shown to be partially effective in stopping infection. The vaccine was developed in Thailand in an experiment involving more than 16,000 people.

The vaccine is able to prevent infection about 31% of the time. It's not 100% effective, but it's a start many thought would never come. The idea of a vaccine for HIV was one that many scientists had ruled out, and this finding will likely give new vigor to the search for a more effective vaccine.

While this vaccine is not the cure or anything close to it, it could likely lead to a more effective vaccine in the future. For that reason, this find is truly groundbreaking.

Insurance Company Ordered To Pay 10 Million

In an awful story coming out of South Carolina, a 17-year-old boy was dropped from his health insurance after testing HIV-positive. Well, that insurance company has just been ordered to pay up big! 10 million dollars to be exact!

The Supreme Court of South Carolina ordered Fortis Insurance to pay up after claiming the student already knew about is status and lied! How incredibly corrupt, I think they should have to pay even more!

Safe Sex Ad Jumps The Shark

I'm getting really sick of people using Hitler as a comparison for everything wrong (or praising him). Can we just stop the madness?! An ad for safe sex and World AIDS Day does just that, and this time it's the person who doesn't wear a condom that = Hitler.

I mean, not having safe sex is very dangerous and irresponsible, but when you throw Hitler in there it just kills the message! Check out the ad and consider yourselves warned: There are boobs!  But also a pretty hot man ass, which is just wrong because the guy is playing Hitler...

Universal Circumcisions? The CDC May Recommend It

The CDC is pondering whether to recommend universal circumcisions for boys in America as a way to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS. It has been shown that circumcised men are at lower risk (but not necessarily gay men) of contracting HIV than men who still have their foreskin.

Obviously this would be a controversial recommendation as the exact benefits of circumcision are still debated. Many also think it's wrong to surgically remove a natural part of the body without consent of the person. I personally think circumcisions are overrated, but my opinion isn't really based on health-related issues.

Also, shouldn't curbing HIV be about safe sex and not a false sense of security in being circumcised? What do you guys think?

Gay Sex = Swine Flu

Every day I wake up in the morning thankful that I can legally fuck another man in the ass. Unfortunately, the men of Malaysia aren't so lucky. Not only is gay sex illegal in their country, but it also leads to contracting swine flu. At least that's what one state-run news agency is telling citizens...

According to Dr. V. M. Palaniappan, gay sex "caused the body to develop friction heat which in turn, produced acid and made the body hyperacidised." But what about heterosexual sex? Doesn't that cause friction too? Apparently not, considering the government news agency is telling people that "normal sexual union between members of the opposite sex [is] absolutely safe." Well... that just makes perfect sense, eh?

How To Convince Your Straight Friends To Put Things Up Their Butts

Don't listen to what the gay pornos have to tell you about seducing your straight male friends. They'll give you such horrible ideas as telling stories about bellhops blowing you or putting your dick in the bottom of the popcorn bag at the movies. All you actually need to do is threaten them with their own health!

Medical research has suggested that relieving the prostate of fluid build-up can help prevent cancer. Since most guys I know aren't dying to have prostate cancer, it might help to share this article with all the straight dudes in your life. Surprise! Therapy Won't Make You Straight

Yesterday, the American Psychological Association declared that mental health professionals shouldn't advise gay patients that they can become straight through therapy. ::sigh:: I guess that means all you wannabe heterosexuals will need to settle for exorcising your gay demons, because we all know how well that works...
