Gone Way Too Soon: James Gandolfini

James Gandolfini died of a heart attack yesterday at 51. He was vacationing in Italy with his wife and infant daughter. So sad.

As someone who’s way into beefy guys and bears, he was hotsy to me.

It also helped that he was a tremendous talent, and gave us “Tony Soprano”. The Sopranos, while phenomenal television, always made me uneasy. There was no one on the show I could sympathize with because they were all scumbags who destroyed lives (their own and others) for a living. That didn’t mean that Tony wasn’t one of the most hypnotic characters in television history. He was pretty much a disgusting human being, but Gandolfini made him shockingly likeable.

Presence. He had presence. A presence that I wanted on me. Yes, a big, beefy intense paisan hammering away at me is a total boner-inducer. The word that he was a gentle giant in real life is even hotter. Ugh. I hate when sexy people die.

Check out more pics (click to enlarge)  and video of James Gandolfini below. Did you find him as sexy as I did?

  1. When I first got the word it was not that James Gandolfini had died but rather it was that Tony Soprano had died . Often Actors & Actress are remember for the character that they play ( I do not know if that is good or bad ) but James Gandolfini truly bought Tony Soprano to life and although I never watched The Soprano James was still one hell of actor that left us way to soon and although James will be greatly missed there is some satisfaction in knowing that Tony Soprano will long live through reruns reminding us as to the GREAT MAN / ACTOR known as MR. JAMES GANDOLFINI !!!

  2. Sexy man, fantastic actor. The Mexican was integral to my sexual awakening; I had my eye on him from then on, before I even understood why.

  3. Great actor. The Soprano’s is one of my favorite shows, would’ve loved to see the new show he was working on. Only 51 and two kids, very unfortunate.

  4. Yes I did. But it wasn’t him physically that did, although he was a handsome man. It was, like you said, his presence, or aura, charisma, whatever! He had it in abundance! I first saw him in the Christian Slater Patricia Arquette movie “True Romance” way back when & he was definitely one of the standouts, even though it also had Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken. Definitely will be missed.
