Geronimo’s Remains Stolen By Skull and Bones?

Geronimo

Geronimo's great grandson is suing Skull and Bones, a secret society at Yale, for allegedly digging up the famed Native American's remains around World War I and continuing to possess them today.

Little is known about Skull and Bones which only asks 15 Yale seniors to join each year.

"Members swear an oath of secrecy about the group and its strange
rituals, which include devotion to the number "322" and initiation
rites such as confessing sexual secrets and kissing a skull. The
atmosphere makes Skull and Bones favorite fodder for conspiracy
theorists."

The most popular piece of folklore surrounding Skull and Bones regards Geronimo's remains. It was considered mere myth until 2005 when historian Marc Wortman uncovered a letter written in 1918. It lends credence to today's lawsuit.

"The skull of the worthy Geronimo the Terrible, exhumed from its
tomb at Fort Sill by your club and Knight Haffuer, is now safe inside
the T _ together with is well worn femurs, bit and saddle horn," Mead
wrote.

It sounds like fodder for a Dan Brown novel, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. What do you think?

  1. Come on. Srsly. What exactly does this story have to do with Manhunt, the gay community, or anything that 95% of your readers might find interesting? I recognize you’re providing news and information, but really… Geronimo? Skull & Bones? Why should this interest me?

  2. i find it interesting, fortunately most gay people don’t ONLY find gay news interesting… the skull and bones and secret societies are actually fascinating in many ways…
