Frenchie Davis: “Love’s Got A Hold On Me”

American Idol and The Voice alum is ready to slay with her new album Just Frenchie.

Sources close to Manhunt Daily have confirmed that pop stars around the globe—including but not limited to Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry—are hastily fastening their wigs to their heads. Why? Because they’re afraid Frenchie Davis is going to snatch them.

Ironically, the fan-favorite of American Idol and The Voice would have no need for the aforementioned wigs. She’s bald and damn beautiful! Of course, you know how these celebrities can get with their frail egos! They’re not always thinking rationally.

“I just heard Frenchie’s flawless new single ‘Love’s Got A Hold On Me’ today,” Katy Perry whispered softly to her teddy bear last night. “I also think I heard the death of my career.”

We reached out to former TV psychic Miss Cleo to confirm Ms. Perry’s fears. After listening to the track, she became possessed with a spirit and began humping every single piece of furniture in the near vicinity. When she finally came back to her senses, she wiped the sweat off her face, turned her back to us and replied, “I can tell you nothing, except that THIS is a number one dance hit in the making.”

There you have it! “Love’s Got A Hold On Me”, the new single by Frenchie Davis, will make you hump furniture (and possible other people). You’ve been warned in advance.

  1. Expected so much more from her. I’m let down. Average gay club sound, and I heard her do better vocal work in RENT. Scale 1-10, she gets a 5 for just average.

  3. It does sound very restrained…almost as if they don’t want her to compete with Jennifer Hudson. I can’t blame her as it would be the producer and the record company pulling her back. With her voice, I’d love to see her pull out an all-stops song in the same manner as Kristine W. Then I’d be happy.

  4. Frenchie will do great witht his song, but she’ll knock it out of the park and over all the aforementioned pop stars’ heads when she really gets to shine vocally…she’s holding back in this song.

And just a minor gripe, some of the lyrics are a little bland…

  6. They are very similar- the same way Coldplay’s song “Clocks” and Kelly Rowland & David Guetta’s song ‘When Love Takes Over” have similar hooks- , but I don’t think anyone would confuse them. Miss Davis’ song has a stronger bassline and a stronger voice and presence than these lads.

  8. Also, girlfriend looks gorgeous in this song….I love when a large woman OWNS her size and isn’t afraid to dress sexy.

  9. Excuse me while I walk down memory lane. She is so DC. I mean I felt like I was back in the Sadlands video room listening to hokey 90s Euro pop songs and watching the accompanying videos on the big screen. Yet I actually liked Frenchie’s song, beyond any sort of ridiculous kitsch factor. Although the opening sounded a bit like every other gay house track out there, everything else was awesome.. Oh how I miss those parties at Velvet that were never complete without at least one turn of Pepper Mashay’s Dive in the Pool.

  10. First off I think this vocal is AWESOME…but really, a post apopcalyptic video? These guys would be more interested in cannabilizing her than listening to her belt out such a fukin hot tune. She should be in a setting where sexy and + size makes her believable as the hot woman she is! All said and done I have always loved Frenchie and that big voice, you go woman!
