The last time I criticized Michael Lucas—if your definition of “criticism” involves stating things he actually said and did—one of his former (?) employees repeatedly e-mailed me and asked me to remove any posts where I said anything negative about the Lucas Entertainment founder. Things escalated from there, and I eventually got so fed up that I wrote one of the meanest pieces I’ve ever written in my time at Manhunt Daily. It was uncalled for, I’ll admit, but it was also a whole lot nicer than my original edit.
That entry resulted in the same former (?) Lucas Entertainment employee demanding that I remove ALL of the studio’s materials from our blog. It seemed like a strange business move on their part, but I obliged the request and took down all their images… Then, I’m not really sure what happened? Time passed by, and this whole “feud” (that Lucas himself probably wasn’t even aware of) was buried deep in the past. We went back to writing about stockings, butt bananas, squirting anuses and all the other crazy publicity stunts the studio came up with.
When the studio made the ridiculously hypocritical and transparently cash-driven decision to go bareback, I tried to dull down my feelings and present the porn for your viewing (dis)pleasure. This went on for a month or two, and then I hit a breaking point—Zachary Sire revealed that Lucas was (allegedly) a major factor behind his decision to leave The Sword. As of October 11, 2013, I made a pledge on Facebook to never promote Lucas or his films. I broke that pledge less than a month later. And I’m breaking it again, because this press release popped up in our inbox:
The language used in this press release straight up pisses me off. You can talk about “informed bareback” all you want and make problematic statements about sero-sorting your models. At the end of the day, you are actively promoting sex without as a condom as hotter, more passionate, more beautiful and more intimate than… ANYTHING ELSE YOU’VE EVER FILMED?!?!?
I’m sorry, but I fail to see the intimacy of a horrible twat like Jed Athens getting “pumped full of raw loads” by six dudes. Is the implication that you can’t have true intimacy or passion unless you have “creampies, double penetration, toy play and all the other rewarding hallmarks of raw sex”? Am I not getting enough “rewards” from the completely fulfilling, sweat-soaked sex I’m having with a condom? Should we all just toss our rubbers aside and embark on a quest for more “rewards”? Hot sex comes from the chemistry of those participating. Period. Whether a condom is used or not doesn’t increase the “hotness of a scene.” And I wouldn’t watch this scene as none of the guys are sexy to me at all.
I personally do not find any of these guys at all attractive. Porn is part of fantasy, why would I want to watch very average guys in my fantasy when my fantasy involves guys I could never get because I’m nowhere near their league of hotness. Though I’m finding that most studios are going for very average looking guys these days with very little to no sex appeal.

I think one of the things Dewitt is trying to say (and I completely agree) is that there’s a lot of language in the press release from Lucas Entertainment (and some other sites) that implies sex with a condom isn’t as intimate or “real” as bareback sex. I don’t recall Sean Cody making those kind of statements, though I could be wrong. If someone insists on only having bareback sex, that’s fine for him, just don’t make me feel like the sex I have with a condom is somehow inferior.

It’s funny cuz I’m the total opposite… I prefer seeing real guys with different body types, different ages, different looks than guys that are considered “perfect”.
