ANTM Crowns A Winner

As you may recall from last week's post on America's Next Top Model, I was pretty thrilled about the top two for this cycle. We all knew Nicole would be a frontrunner, so I believe my exact words were, "If Laura makes it to the final two, I will shit fucking rainbows." And then she did.

For once in the history of this show, I really didn't give a damn who won. Nicole deserved to win for her pure talent and awkward charm. Laura deserved to win because she has the best personality on the planet (and an awesome fashionista grandma). Unfortunately, only one of them could win. If you care about this show at all, you probably already know who that was. Teamm8 Models Show Their Undies

There are a lot of crappy men's underwear lines out there. You know the ones I'm talking about. They consistently use smokin' hot models to lure you (quite literally) into their mediocre products. Though I've yet to acquire my own pair of briefs from them, I've always been under the impression that Australian line teamm8 isn't one of those brands.

They've always stood out because of their unique campaigns, in which audiences vote for the participating models. I'm not sure what this particular photo shoot is from, but I'm loving the concept of naked guys holding pictures of themselves in underwear. If only there had been a little frontal nudity...

ANTM's Story Is About Awkwardness & Determination

In last night's episode of America's Next Top Model, the girls partook in a hip-hop hula contest. With her cheerleading past, Erin assumed she'd dominate, but Laura's booty drop had her beat. Nicole was awkward beyond belief, and Miss J. Alexander had a field day making fun of the poor girl's dance moves. 

Speaking of Miss J, have you heard that he'll be bumped off the judging table next cycle? He'll allegedly be demoted back to runway coach, in order to make room for former judge Kimora Lee Simmons and Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley. Youch, did he piss off Tyra or something?

But enough about him! As we mentioned last week, this episode featured a double elimination, whittling it all down to the final two. Who will be competing in the final runway show? Click through to find out!

Lady Gaga's New Video Is Predictably Awesome

Quite recently, I was accused of bashing Britney Spears and making too many Lady Gaga fan posts. And if you've already seen the "Bad Romance" video, you can probably understand my reasoning. Even though I'd argue that I've been pretty generous with Brit lately, just let it be known--"3" is nothing compared to this.

Hands down, this is one of the best things Lady Gaga has ever done. All my skepticism (regarding her artistic integrity) has been completely thrown out the window. I hate to admit it, but I think I'm now one-hundred percent Team Gaga. Yeah, I said it.

ANTM Dips It Low

Last night's episode of America's Next Top Model began with the usual foolishness. "Alright, girls! Let's jump off a cliff into the ocean. But you have to look fierce while doing it." The winner of the challenge (duh, Nicole) got more frames for her photo-shoot. She got to choose another model who got more frames. Then that model chose another model, and so on. The final girl would get half as many frames as the other girls. Can you guess who that was? Yup, Erin.

The five remaining contestants were hit-or-miss in their underwater shoot, but you could probably predict the bottom two without even seeing their pictures. One of them has been in danger of going home for two weeks in a row. The other should have been ousted a long time ago.

But rather than focus on those two, let's start talking about who will ultimately be in the top two. This is especially relevant, considering that next week's episode will incorporate a double elimination. Not to be confused with double penetration.

Rihanna Would Really Prefer If You Waited For Your Turn

When you first heard Rihanna's "Umbrella", were you completely blown away? I sure as hell wasn't, and I couldn't have possibly predicted that the song would dominate radio airwaves for months to come. It wasn't until the third or fourth listen that it really sunk in. From that point on, I was completely addicted.

I'm beginning to wonder if Rihanna's second single "Wait Your Turn (Wait Is Ova)" will play out in a similar fashion. Upon my first listen, I was utterly confused as to why this song was chosen as the follow-up to "Russian Roulette". After a few more times, it's really starting to catch on with me.

The video just debuted, and while it's nowhere near as exciting as Shakira's latest... there's something to be said about the electrifying presence of Rihanna. If you throw her into amazing outfits and tell her to walk around, I will become intrigued and watch intently. Mostly, I just want to figure out what inspired her fashion decisions. It's like Aaliyah meets Elvira with a dash of Slick Rick (for the eye-patch). Is anyone else feeling this as much as I am?

ANTM Does Blackface

You may not be watching America's Next Top Model, but last night's episode definitely left us with something to talk about. The remaining six models were "transformed" to portray individuals with biracial identities. Long story short, most of the models were asked to perform in blackface But should it be considered offensive when the photo shoot was meant to celebrate diversity?

Well, pretty much. I was less taken aback by the make-up than the refusal to educate the models on the cultures they were portraying. When Erin was asked to pose as someone of a Tibetan and Egyptian background, she admitted to the camera that the only thing she knew about Tibet is that "it needs to be freed". Brittany's ideas of Native Americans were based upon her childhood textbooks.

If Tyra Banks' intention was to stir up conversation, I'm pretty sure this is going to be a successful endeavor. The episode oddly coincides with two other blackface controversies--Lara Stone's French Vogue spread and a Jackson 5 skit on Australian television. Tyra may not be good with the whole cultural sensitivity thing, but at least she's good with timing!

Rufskin Goes Western

It's obvious that I'm a big fan of photographer Rick Day and his latest shoot for Rufskin's Far West campaign does not disappoint. Models Joseph Sayers, Steven Benisty, Matt Stone and David Webster all flaunt their hard bodies in tight Rufskin gear up in the Sierra Nevada. It seems that Joseph Sayers is packin' quite a lot in those denim. He's about to bust out... Yummy.

ANTM Could Use A Math Lesson

What did you miss on last night's episode of America's Next Top Model? Well, Kim Kardashian stopped by as a guest judge, proving that socialites with sex-tapes know all about the modeling world. Tyra Banks took liberties with the English language by creating the world "dwiddling", which I assume is some combination of "dwindle" and "twiddle". She also told one model, who happened to be a mathematician, that one plus one actually equals three. The more you learn!

The girls went to speech class with the big-nosed lady from Seventeen magazine and totally gay comedian Ant. Their lesson came in handy when they interviewed some random chick from 90210. Then they filmed some CoverGirl commercials. But let's not focus too much on the details. Who went home? Who was selected first by the judges? This Should Be My Halloween Costume

I figured out what Halloweeen costume I'll use to win that naked picture of my fake boyfriend David. Basically, I need to dress up as an ultra-glam Chewbacca, as inspired by Katie Eary's Spring 2010 collection. It may not score points for originality, but I'd still look more awesome than anyone in the world.

Have you seen these glorious creations? I can't pretend that I grasp fashion, particularly when it comes to the things that normal people would never wear. But these designs blow my mind. It's like someone is literally fellating my brain.
