Exclusive Interview with Bravo Delta

Cocky Boys exclusive Bravo Delta was strictly gay for pay when he got into the porn industry last year. In a surprising turn of events, though, the furry little fucker has come to realize that he actually likes having sex with guys.

I talked to Mr. Delta—he opted to use his old XTube handle as his actual porn name, if you were wondering—about balancing school and porn, about whose ass he’s going to be fucking next, and about why he probably won’t be working for any west coast studios anytime soon.

Thanks for doing this.

No problem. Wednesday’s my day off, so I’m just getting up, actually.

 How’s school going?

I’m in my last semester right now. I’m studying electrical engineering, and then I’m planning to stay where I am for grad school. I’m researching emerging nanosystem technologies, but I don’t know. I might get more into electronics.

Think you’ll keep doing porn even in grad school?

Yeah, hopefully.

 So, have you had people in real life recognize you from your porn career?

I have. Literally just a week ago, I was at my school’s gym and I heard somebody say “Bravo?” It ended up being one of the DrunkGrindr guys. So I just did an interview with them for their site.

People are really interested in you. Your Tumblr stream has a lot of questions from fans, and it’s funny because most of them seem to ask you about your own experiences. Why do you think people are so fascinated by you?

I really have no idea. I think I’m pretty boring. I’m an engineer. And then I do porn sometimes. I’m known for being bad at interviews.

 Oh. Do you have a reputation?

Yeah, I actually do. We had to do a lot of interviews in high school, and I’d just put on this really awkward voice unintentionally and I’d just rant. I’m better at asking the questions. But really only if there’s a script to follow beforehand.

When did you start realizing that you had fans?

I started having fans maybe a couple of months after I started putting videos online. I got like a thousand messages after the first video. And then I realized that I’d have to start responding to them…

 What prompted you to start posting jerk-off videos?

In high school I did TV broadcasting, and I was interested in going to film school, so I made one video that I thought was artistic. I deleted it, though. But then I shot another one a few months later, edited it, and threw it on XTube. I still produce my own stuff sometimes, but nothing really that big. I think I go through editing withdrawal sometimes.

 And eventually you made the jump to professional porn…

I started putting videos on XTube when I was 19, and started getting into professional stuff at 20. But I didn’t start producing until a little less than a year ago.  I went through a talent agency at first, and they booked me a scene with a studio in San Diego. I kind of hate flying, and I was miserable in these airports the entire time. And then when I got there the scene was canceled, so I had to fly back home. If I ever had to fly over an ocean, I think I’d probably just start panicking.

Cocky Boys called me a couple of months later, and they’re actually based in New York, so that’s been a lot better for me. I’m going down to New York to film next week, which is my spring break.

 Any idea what you’re filming?

I really have no idea yet. I’ve gotten a lot of emails about people’s schedules, but I don’t know what we’re doing yet, or who I’m filming with. Someone on Twitter started a rumor that I might be doing a scene with Jett Black, and we were joking that neither one of us could take each other’s dick, so the whole scene would just be us sitting there watching movies.

I’ve only gone out for shoots three times so far, for five scenes total. I went down to New York for a weekend, and I went to Canada once. And once they shot in Boston, which was convenient.

But you consider yourself straight.

For the most part, I guess.

Has doing gay porn affected your personal life at all?

Not really? I don’t think so. I mean it’s not like I’m so straight that the thought of a guy turns me off.

So what made you go into gay porn instead of straight porn?

It pays better. And it’s a lot easier to get a job. Plus, honestly, a lot of the time straight porn looks dirty to me. I look at a lot of the girls and think “Wow, I wouldn’t want to stick it in her.” But then I would like to stick it in the other half of girls I see doing porn, so…

Do you think that doing porn has opened up your personal sex life?

Yeah, I’d definitely say it has. I mean I’ve really only hooked up with a guy outside of porn twice. And it was the same guy. But it probably would have never happened if I hadn’t done gay porn first.

So I take it that you must have liked it, if you did it twice.

It was enjoyable, yeah…

Do you have any major porn goals for the near future?

I really want to meet Conner [Habib] to shoot that scene that we’ve been talking about for three months. But our schedules keep not lining up.

And I’ll be at the Black Party Expo in New York next week, though. I have no idea what to expect from that.
