Drawn To You: Tony Breed

Amidst all the delightfully naughty artwork in our Drawn To You series, our most popular post came from an artist who focused on a topic most people don’t immediately associate with Manhunt–monogamy. Never mind the number of letters we’ve received from men who met their husbands or life partners on the site! Apparently, we’re only concerned with sex around here…

Oh, come on now! You know that’s not the case, right? We get down with all kinds of relationships in these parts, including the happily married folks who liked it and put a ring on it. That would explain why we were so fond of Tony Breed‘s excellent webcomic Hitched. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we even reached out to interview the man who makes all the (two-dimensional) magic happen.

We recently discovered that Mr. Breed launched a new page on Tumblr, where he’ll be sharing a few of his sketches, drawing exercises and supplementary pieces from the comic strip. The above image is a pin-up inspired depiction of his character Kevin. Admittedly, we sort of want to make out with him… In 3D!!!

  1. Something wholesome for a change! …and look at how few comments. Wow, sad. Gay men aren’t sex obsessed or anything.

  2. I was in a bar having a drink, shared a table with 3 men who wanted to sit. It started to get fun and flirtatious quickly.
Accent on the fun. As it got more fun the
fellow who I was flirting with – as he was flirting with me – *me 50 he 25* – said –
OF COURSE YOU KNOW I WOULD NEVER HAVE SEX
WITH A TROLL. I said, I’M SORRY YOUR TERROR OF YOUR AGING ISSUES GOT IN THE WAY OF A FUN TIME. OF COURSE YOU KNOW I’D NEVER DATE OR HAVE SEX WITH A BIGOT.

The last picture really was a healing for me. It’s not anything but a kiss, but when did a kiss mean so much – so simple and just as it is? This picture went right to my heart and made it sing. SIGH. Art heals.

I felt the pain as the young man said what he said – I thought I had let it go, I hadn’t – so THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU !!!! That was a full circle. in DRAWN TO YOU.

  3. I think they’re beautiful! Such a different change of pace to see something fun and relaxed!

  4. I like them a lot, but I don’t really see where any of them necessarily say “monogamy.” Am I missing something?

  5. The monogamy could be from his webcomic that they linked to, rather than these examples of his work. Love them!

  6. Haha how cute!
These are just nice and depict men I would probably be interested in haha.
