Drawn To You: Ricardo Fumanal

Ricardo Fumanal, gay erotic drawings, art, artist, negative space, distortion, fashion, naked cowboy, naked men, Bambi, politics, huge hair, Spanish

Normally I'd wait until the end of an entry to mention this, but I feel a need to blow my wad right away. Ricardo Fumanal has done a ridiculously hot drawing of a cowboy throwing his boots in the air. From the moment I saw it, I was thinking some serious Brokeback Mountain thoughts. And I don't mean that in the tear-jerking kind of way, because it'll have you jerking something else.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I'd like to call your attention to Fumanal's nonsexual pieces. I'm a big fan of his fashion-inspired drawings, especially his tendency to omit certain body parts or combine two separate figures. But that's just me… what do you think of his work?

  1. this never ceases to amaze me… if there is even a trace of imagination at work in something, there will be a numbskull out in there in the world going: ‘acid’.
yeah – no one has ever seen a body with two heads. wow. what an insane idea.
tip of the day: google surrealism.

  2. mark- good point- just like in actual pics that appear on here, someone has to point out that an overall gorgeous man has a mole in a bad place (in THEIR opinion)…as if the stuff on here is posted for any one person’s pleasure or displeasure.

  3. and farz- did you not read the intro by Dewitt? in it, he says “I’m a big fan of his fashion-inspired drawings…”. so yes, it is stuff from fashion shoots- as was already pointed out to those of us who read first instead of skipping the narrative and going to the pictures.

  4. Some might say referring 2 his work as on acid as being harsh but that’s what makes his work so artistically strange leaving one with the impression that he has 2 be on acid LOL 2 have imagination like that ……….

  6. Well, Dewitt did ask what we think of his work. Someone gives his opinion – what he thinks – and how many so far have run down that opinion? Geez guys, get a grip (and I don’t mean on your dicks, lol) :-p . . .
In all honesty, I’ve seen some better skill in sketching / drawing by high school students. These drawings are ok, but nothing I would ‘cream’ over.
