“CinderFella”: Disney Done Right (Right = Gay)

Cute. I was sold the minute Janice Dickinson, Willam Belli, and Shangela showed up as the wicked stepmother and the step-sisters. Todrick Hall’s newest video “CinderFella” ups the gay on the old classic (and several other Disney flicks) with classic animated film ditties mashed with Top 40 pop jams, drag, and line dancing.

Cinderella’s a dude, the Prince (Lance Bass) remains one, and Alice in Wonderland and Jasmine from Aladdin hold hands and sing about their “magic carpet ride” together. Get it, girls!

The message at the end is “Legalize Love.” THIS is the way you do a PSA.

  1. what a piece of garbage. Sure lets throw every stereotype in a dance video and expect to be takin serious about marriage. Ugh

  2. so tragic…and so soon after celeste holms death…im gonna have to watch her rendition of “Impossible” to cleanse my brain…

  3. I don’t think anyone realizes how on mark this video is. If you ever have a chance to walk in the tunnels under Disney World, then do it. I remember seeing princes kissing princes, princesses kissing princesses. Two Minnie’s holding hands. It’s a bit of a trip, but it’s also fun.

  4. i thought it was pretty cute, but there should have been more willam and shangela!!!  and is it just me or is lance bass the most boring plastic gay dude on the planet?!

  5. Cute. But it might have been better if the songs were original, expressing the artists true feelings about it. Still, stick that in Walt Disney”s craw about gay disney toons.

Otherwise it wouldn’t be called the gayest/happiest place on earth XD

  6. I have never posted here in my life… but i read the posts above and i honestly can’t believe my eyes.   yes, it’s cheesy, yes, it’s not for everyone.  but he’s doing something that is trying to bring a positive message.  jeeez, stop the hate and show me what you’re doing personally that’s so much more better and effective.  we all want the same things – to be accepted and treated equally.  why is it sooo necessary to rip things apart and be so freaking negative if one person’s message to that simply isn’t your taste…   we dish on bullies for the same type of unaccepting attitude, but there are those of us who do the exact same thing.  it’s just so not necessary to have so much hate – i promise.  🙂

  7. I agree with you entirely. This just made me grin like a madman. Can you imagine something like this being done 15 years ago?
We have reached so far! I just think of all of those kids that are going to see this video and fill validated, because despite of the fact that they are sometimes alone and feeling confused, there is the possibility out there of a prince/princess charming, and of celebration of self, even of it is of the cheesy variety:-)

  8. Omg..I thought that was an awesome video..They looked like that had a great time making it.  I mean come on people its Disney ..you can’t get any gayer than that!!!

  9. This actually made me slightly laugh. “If you answered yes – then you NASTY!” was my favourite part. I don’t understand all the hate, it was very cute and I really liked it. =D
