As a fan of shorter men, Daniel Radcliffe is kind of my wet dream. The former Harry Potter star stands at 5’5″ with a compact build and one of the most magnificent treasure trails I have ever seen on a man. When I heard he’d be going gay for in the 2013 film Kill Your Darlings—which, yes, I realize has a lot more to offer than Daniel Radcliffe naked—my boner was at full attention thinking about the potential sex scenes that could result from such a role.
To say the least, Radcliffe delivered in that respect. You can watch the juiciest clip from the movie here (while it lasts), though if you hate needles as much as I do, I’d highly recommend relying on the screenshots below and your own imagination. Can I be a little optimistic and say that what I saw was a straight actor, a guy, who treats the sexual part of our lives as gay men with utter, complete, fidelity and respect? That wasn’t just sex — he captured romance, too. Which is the thing that a great many straight people miss.
When the Trevor Project gave Daniel Radcliffe their Hero Award a few years ago, I was amazed at his response. He said that the real heroes are the LGBTI kids who have the courage to call the Trevor Project and ask for help.
I have never met him and no doubt never will, but as LGBT people we grow up not even taking our parents for granted. What do you say about a straight guy who just shows up and volunteers?
