Let’s congratulate U.S. Marine Corps captain Matthew Phelps. He proposed to his partner Ben Schlock in the White House this past weekend!

My partner and I sent Obama’s a wedding invite right after he stated his support. He sent us a congrats letter on White House stationary. It was very cool. We’ve come a long way…….

my wish to you both is you live your lives to the fullest and never let a day go by without showing your love for each other. i “married” my wonderful partner of 15 years on 17th august this year, it was the best day of our lives surrounded by “all” of our families and friends. he died aged 52 of cancer on 5th december, and his funeral was on 17th december, our 4 month anniversary. i was blessed to have had nearly 16 years of true love with my best friend. my wish to you both is a long and happy life together, god bless
