The official numbers for last week's album sales are in and Britney Spears will debut at no. 1 with her latest album Circus. Bumble Bee reported earlier that the album sold more than 500k copies, but official numbers were released today and according to Billboard.com, Circus sold 505k copies. Britney is the only musician in Nielsen Soundcheck history to have four albums debut with sales over 500k.
The album's title track will debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at no. 3 with digital sales of 212,000 copies. Britney's former no.1 single "Womanzer" will be sitting pretty at no. 10. It is also being reported that 500,000 tickets have been sold so far for her upcoming tour! Congrats Brit!
