Beldina: “What More Can I Say”

Up-and-coming Swedish singer Beldina is influenced by Mary J. Blige, French DJs and the style of Audrey Hepburn. All I’m going to say is that if this combination leads to anything else as great as “What More Can I Say”, she should probably stick with it for the duration of her career. The track combines the emotional energy of Leona Lewis‘ “Bleeding Love” with a light hip-hop flavor, resulting in a mid-tempo ballad that might not seem like much at first, but grows on you with each subsequent listen.

As much as I’d love for this to cross over the pond and get some US airplay, my pessimistic side assumes I’ll have to stick to streaming it on Spotify or eventually dig down deep into my wallet for the extra $0.99 to buy it from iTunes. Oh well! There are worse fates in the world.
