Aural Only: Taylor Swift

So I guess this Taylor Swift chick has a new single? It basically sounds like every other song she’s ever written, mashed up into one giant cliche of herself. Don’t get me wrong! Despite my seemingly harsh criticism, I’m pretty positive that I’ll shamefully sing along to this when it comes on the radio.

As to whether this track will earn her another Grammy? I won’t be placing any bets, but it could become her first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. However, we’re much more occupied with how it’ll perform on our Weekly Top Ten charts!

  1. I don’t what the hype is abut her. She really can’t sing. When you see her perform live, you realize she is not in full control of her voice.

  2. Ms. Taylor Swift is a copycat. She is obviously trying too hard to be another Shania Twain. Fortunately for her I only liked one song of hers and it was Love Story but that faded in and out in a blink of an eye. Im sorry but I give it a thumbs down. Sorry Taylor.

  3. At least she’s better than the Lohans and Gagas of the world, Both of those should be shot and hung.

  4. Totally hate her and this song. She can’t sing, and everything she does sounds the same. How this little girl became a superstar gazillionaire is only testimony to the bad taste and purchasing power of her mostly 14 year old female fan base.

  5. Ok. I don’t like her. Never have. She, along with Gag Gag can’t sing. But do we really have to call names? Sort of puts you below thier level, doesn’t it!

  6. I’m a fan of Taylor. Not a huge fan, but a fan. But this song is so boring. Like you said, it sounds like everything else. If she wants to stick around she’s going to need to change it up a bit. Of course tweens like repetition, so maybe this will be huge.

  7. While you all are talking down on Taylor as well as Gaga I doubt that any of you have a smidge of either one of there talents. Taylor’s songs connect to those whose are still going through what she writes about and I would hope that you older generation don’t mentally fit into those demographics. As she experiences life I am sure that her music will change along with here outlook but until then “she rocks”.

  8. lol. so much critisim..
    she’s actually great.
songs like ‘love story’ and ‘our song’ are beyond awesome.
