Aural Only: Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott, Gravity, fourth single, official single cover

Being too persistent on Manhunt might result in someone hitting the "block" option with the utmost swiftness. But when you remain firm on your demands for a certain song to appear on our Weekly Top Ten countdown? It just might pay off. At least that's the case with Pixie Lott's "Gravity".

In my opinion, this song falls a bit flat in comparison to the English singer-songwriter's previous singles. I can't get over how much it reminds me of Jordin Sparks' "No Air"! Either way, you'll be seeing it on this weekend's charts. Do you think it deserves to be there?

  1. Her clips are pretty lackluster in terms of originality.
One of them had a Lady Gaga ‘Just Dance’ vibe. This one lol, do I even need to say who it reminds me of?
Nothing wrong with it of course its just all been done before, and better by the aforementioned artists.

  2. I’m with you, D. BORING. All the last 3 were catchier and more interesting. But nice to see another artist from here that isn’t hitting in the US represented. Thanks for remembering us!

  3. Well, at least the song is not as bad as the Leona Lewis track or Imma Be by The BEP. In fact, this song is already a top 40 hit in the UK and next week when the single is released I am sure it will rocket into the top 10. I actually believe Pixie’s album is one of the best that came out of the UK in the last year.
