Aural Only: Madonna

Drop everything–the full version of Madonna‘s “Celebration” has finally leaked. Subjects of her Madgesty’s kingdom will take delight in her return to the Confessions On A Dancefloor style. The nostalgia-prone will turn their nose up at Ms. Ciccone’s decline in artistry. The rest of you will probably scoff at both groups for caring about this song’s existence.

As someone who indulges in Madonna on a part-time basis, I’ll just say that this isn’t her greatest work but it’s quite far from her worst. If this came on at a club, you could probably find me awkwardly gyrating or at least tapping my foot if I wasn’t drunk enough. Should we praise Jesus for this not sucking? Good dick inspires good art… or at least extremely tolerable dance singles.

  1. Decent club song.
    Not that great though.
Maybe if I were drunk or high, I could dance to this.
    Hahahaha!

  2. I think this song is just plain lackluster at best. She really needs to start working with people that will take her into a new stratosphere. What happened to the Madonna who always re-invented herself. Too many alters walking around I guess…ha… For me, there is never any in between with her. She either SUCKS or ROCKS ass. It’s the former for this one!

  3. nope this sounds NOTHING like “Confessions on the Dancefloor” different tones/ rythyms..
thanks for tricking me to listen to this crap.. Confessions was so great because of producer Jack LuCont and his love for Italo disco..
the cheap remix-style house tones on here remind me of many of the Ray of Light era remixes- not good, lame, typical gay house

  4. ehmm. club dance song. are u sure it’s not a remix?
it’s nothing like confessions to be honest.
kinda like what it feels like for a girl video mix…
doesnt sound like anything madonna done before (at least not until that material was remixed or something that’s why i wonder whether it’s original mix).
good/bad? hmm, not bad for sure. doesnt sound epic either, at least not yet. i was ready to throw up when i heard womanizer, but then i loved it, maybe same will happen with this song.

  5. I feel like I heard this song playing in a bathhouse before…Don’t believe everything you hear – a “leaked” Madonna song is not always what it seems…

  6. nice songs actually – come to realize that after a few ‘spins’. the part where she talks is also very nice.

  7. she collaborated with Paul Oakenfold on the song. it’s going to be on her forthcoming greatest hits package from Warner Brothers. this is the first single of the two that will be released and this is here farewell to Warner Music Group as she’s signed to Live Nation. it’s a great song that will get ignored by american radio. i’m personally happy with the collaboration, it has Paul Oakenfold’s sound. now, she needs to get her ass back in the studio and give us something new and fresh and no more mainstream bullshit.
