Aural Only: Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue, All The Lovers

Dance! It's all you'll want to do when you hear Kylie Minogue's latest single "All The Lovers". With the assistance of Stuart Price and Kish Mauve, the Australian pop star has crafted a tune that you're sure to hear blasting in gay clubs all summer long. It's the perfect kickoff for her upcoming album Aphrodite.

I'm not usually one to dip in the Kylie pool, but this track definitely caught my attention within the first five seconds. If you don't mind me asking, how do the die-hard fans feel about this? Does it compare to Kylie's earlier work?

  1. It’s exactly her strong point. Not being too cutting edge, but taking one extra step beyond a really fantastic pop/dance song. I’ve heard this in clubs (lounge and dance) all weekend and it really lights up a room, as a focal piece or a background track that makes you take notice. One particular remix is brilliant as well. I think it’s also the best thing Stuart has done since Madonna’s Confessions album. I respect his Killers and Keane work and certainly think the Frankmusik album benefitted, but this is strong.

  2. I love this track! Especially the instrumental section. I’ve heard it in the clubs twice in one night, and the crowd REALLY seemed into it.
It’ll definately be a #1 around the world.

  3. Oh I’m a huge Kylie fan and I like the song! Can’t wait for the video for this one to come out! and the album! This totally made my day!

  4. I love this song. From the first moment I heard it I knew it would be great. It’s been in high rotation since Friday on my Ipod. There is a good remix from Wawa that is playing in some internet radio stations.
Hope this song is on the chart this coming weekend.
