As you might recall, I wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about Jason Derülo‘s debut single “Whatcha Say”. That might explain why our review of his debut album read like a three-paragraph backhanded compliment. However, when it all comes down to it, the guy’s clearly got a gift for songwriting… if only he’d drop the damn Auto-Tune.
Of course, my opinion on his tunes doesn’t matter that much. Derülo already has three top ten hits under his belt, and he’s about to go for a fourth with his latest single “What If”. It’s a catchy mid-tempo tune that’ll get stuck in your head whether you like it or not. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Liked his second single “in my head”, it was a nice mix of rock/pop. This song is more rnb inspired. The video reminds me of “me myself and i” by beyonce because of it being in reverse.
He is a 20 year old kid, give him a few years to come into his own. Plus he’s hot so that doesn’t hurt.

Everyone of his hits ripped off a better song. He sucks. And when he opened for GaGa he was soooooooo annoying. Between every song he mentioned how he was looking for his perfect girl. Every song! We get it Jason, you’re straight, now shut up.

His music SUCKS!!! he says his own name in just about every one of his songs…I wouldn’t call that good song writing!!! It’s more like “Attention Whore”…and he is NOT even remotely attractive.
