Now that I’ve sufficiently ranted to my coworkers about last night’s AWFUL episode of Glee (“I’m what they call a bear-cub”), it’s time for another installment of our new series Aural Fixation! This is the part of the week where we present you with a bunch of songs and ask you which one you’d play during a hook-up or, ugh, “making love”.
Today we’ve rounded up six openly gay artists, ranging everywhere from straight-up dance pop to experimental indie wizardry. Your options are as follows: Garçon Garçon, Rostam Batmanglij, Matt Zarley, Manila Luzon, Cazwell and Kele Okereke. Got it? Good… Now let’s get to voting!

Garçon Garçon – Stay In Touch: The boys from Australian electro-pop duo Garçon Garçon finally dropped the music video for their official debut single “Stay In Touch”. Though they previously promised that it would be “more than likely” they’d be wearing very little clothing in this clip, we’re going to forgive them because… PIRATES! MERMAIDS! ADORABLENESS! Let’s just hope they forgive us for embedding their video between two slutty ass pics.

Rostam Batmanglij – Don’t Let It Get To You: For those who aren’t in the know, Rostam Batmanglij is the openly gay keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist for indie band (and anti-hipster punchline) Vampire Weekend. He’s been branching out into production and a solo venture, and this is one of his latest releases. I’d fuck to it, but that’s only because I have a hardcore boner for Rostam Batmanglij.

Matt Zarley – Perfect: Truth be told, “Perfect” sounds like one of the Backstreet Boys’ 1999 castoffs. We’re not necessarily saying that’s a bad thing. This is a vast improvement over Zarley’s previous single “WTF”, though there’s no chance the music video will be anywhere near as sexy.

Manila Luzon – Hot Couture: With no disrespect to Pandora’s “Cooter”, Manila Luzon is the first Drag Race contestant to recapture the magic of RuPaul’s 1992 dance hit “Supermodel (You Better Work)”, all whilst adding a modern edge that would sound appropriate next to Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias or Rihanna on the radio. If you like it, be sure to grab the full song on iTunes! Wigs don’t come cheap, y’all.

Cazwell f/ Peaches – Unzip Me: Don’t be surprised when the music video for this song features a bunch of hairless, muscular go-go boys. We’ve got to admit this isn’t the worst Cazwell song we’ve ever heard. At least the production’s kind of interesting? Sort of reminds us of Madonna-collaborator Martin Solveig.

Kele Okereke f/ Lucy Taylor – What Did I Do: The former Bloc Party frontman churns out another electro-tinged solo single. There’s a little more Lucy than Kele on this song, but whatever… He’s shirtless!
what abt elton john, ricky martin, lance bass, the gay guy from 5ive, the gay guy from westlife, and will young
I would let Rostam fuck me to the sounds of “Unzip Me.”
“Hot Couture” is a good song for the clubs, but not to have sex by.
Matt Zarley is beefy, hairy, and hot…but dude (and I’m sure he uses the word “dude” a lot), once you hit 40, acting you’re the lost member of some forgotten boy-band isn’t sexy. It sad.
Matt Zarley just because he’s the sex.. But seriously… lose the quintessential gay-isms… I.e. the sleeveless zip up hoodie and the Xtina Aguilera head-nodding. plz. Great voice, just class it up a bit.
i’m so confused…. how could unzip me be winning? i could’t possible have sex to that… i spent the whole track laughing cuz i couldn’t believe it was real….
Keep in mind that Chris Brown’s “Wet The Bed” won two weeks ago.
