And this is one of the reasons why I am such a resolute patriot. Every year, the plebes (freshman) at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland lose their shirts, a giant phallic-shaped monument on campus gets greased up, and the men climb it and each other. It’s called the Herndon Monument Climb (named for a Navy hero) and it takes place every May. In the Navy, indeed! It’s all about the teamwork. It’s all about those jacked, young Navy boys in their gym shorts grunting and flexing and rubbing all over each other. How do the gay ones not get boners and accidentally blind their fellow plebes?
