Each new season of American Idol offers a few wacky twists, and this time around is no different. Instead of a final 12, the producers decided to go with the unlucky number 13. However, with the added contestant comes a problem…a XXX problem!
Each season, viewers vote for their favorite Idol wannabes by dialing 1-866-IDOLS-01 through 1-866-IDOLS-12. Because there are 13 finalists this season, it makes sense that you would dial 1-866-IDOLS-13 to vote for contestant number 13; however, that number already belongs to an enterprising phone sex company.
I wonder how the producers of Idol are gonna resolve this problem? Maybe they should have thought about this before deciding on a final 13? Oh well…funny regardless.
