Album Review: Ocean Eyes by Owl City

Owl City

Owl City can best be described as an emo twink making cute electronic tunes. Ocean Eyes, his first major-label release, is perfect for anyone who's been lamenting the absence of a second Postal Service album. These tunes are more versatile than the guy who blew your mind (and other things) during last night's flip-fuck, made for everything from zoning out with your headphones to indie dance parties in American Apparel underwear.

"Fireflies" is currently being offered for free as iTunes' Single of the Week, and it'd serve as a delightful addition to your music collection. Dig it? Well, make room for the rest of the album on your hard drive.

  1. yea hearing that they’re Postal Service-esque piqued my interest. I downloaded the song, and am listening to it on repeat for a little. Reminds me of BT a little too (Dark Heart Dawning/ Satellite).

  3. Darius. Just looked up an interview:
    Are you a Christian?
Yes. Jesus Christ is my everything. I’ve given Him control of my life, asked Him to come into my heart to work in my life and change me into a new person, someone He wants me to be. I strive to honor Christ in everything I do, say, make and think. Nothing is more important to me than my relationship with Him.
    (Sad face)
