Album Review: Jersey Shore Soundtrack

If your soul doesn’t die by the end of the Jersey Shore soundtrack, the show’s own DJ Pauly D will make sure to bury it in the ground. The album’s closing track is his own composition “Beat That Beat (It’s Time To)”, which would be more aptly titled “Beat That Head Against The Wall (It’s Time To)”.

While his intentions are to get our fists pumping, it’s impossible to muster up the energy to even do so ironically after he proclaims that “being a guido’s a way of life”. Apparently this way of life involves getting very drunk and dancing to bad music by LMFAO, 3OH!3, Lil Jon and Girlicious.

The most amazing thing about this album is the number of talented and established DJs who agreed to be a part of it, including (but not limited to) David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and Deadmau5. The beats may occasionally come hard, but in the end? This sounds like one of those parties where you’ll regret paying the cover fee.

  1. I’m shocked that someone might look at that cast photo and think any of those people are goodlooking. All I see are effete men wearing too much makeup and sculpting their eyebrows. When I see the women, I see them wearing too much makeup and sculpting their eyebrows. Real guidos are hot to me, for sure, but only if don’t act like obnoxious American assholes.
