The 81st Academy Awards will air tonight on ABC. The award show will be live cast from the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles at 8:30 p.m. ET. One of the movies I’m hoping gets recognized is Gus Van Sant‘s Milk, the biopic of Harvey Milk with 8 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Sean Penn.
Also enjoyable was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which leads the pack this year, with 13 nominations. I personally like all the movies nominated, but am really pulling for Milk to get at least one Oscar!

Milk performances were amazing (would love to see Sean win it all). Supporting actress for Button was unbelievable. I like all the choices this year as well.

Penelope plays a bisexual in Vickie Cristina Barcelona. She began her career working for gay Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. Gay characters have been in many of her films. Take that Salma Hayak!
Sort of dull so far, it’s a lot of filler for just 4 or 5 interesting awards… at least it’s gettin to the good part…
Am glad that Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz won…amazing actors!
