World AIDS Day: More Than Kim Kardashian In A Coffin

Kudos to Alicia Keys and the slew of celebrities involved in Keep A Child Alive‘s “Buy Life” campaign, but there’s a lot more to World AIDS Day than famous people in coffins. Yes, we understand these individuals are staging their “digital deaths” to raise funds for a very good cause. But there’s one person whose involvement is much more important today…

Duh, we’re talking about you. Manhunt Cares has partnered with GMFA, the Gay Men’s Health Charity, to promote their latest campaign “Count Me In”. The campaign asks men to show their commitment to stopping the spread of HIV by agreeing to a five-point action plan:

• I will know my HIV status.
• I will not assume I know someone else’s HIV status.
• I will take personal responsibility for using condoms.
• I will value myself and my health.
• I will stay informed about HIV and how it is spread.

Read more about the campaign over here, and be sure to visit Manhunt Cares’ testing resources page for information on organizations near you.

  1. I got tested today after a year of struggling with myself over doing it

I was exposed to HIV by a guy who didn’t tell me he was positive, a year later I have a clear conscience and a clean bill of health!

    know, get tested

  2. Kim Kardashian, really her? This mega fame whore, who don’t do anything to make the world a bit better, but hop from men to men; you use as the face for this post. I’m not going to go as far and wish her actually dead, but damn she needs to go away. On to more pressing matters, I don’t have to worry about HIV/AIDS because i am 22 years young, and i am saving myself for my teenage lover of four years now, we just have to get married, which will be soon and then we can have intercourse with each other because husband or not, there will be condoms used, i don’t trust no one. I have to protect my body because no one else will.

  3. I say throw the rest of the Kardasians in with her, close the lid and do the world a giant favor.

Oh and yeah! Fight AIDS (not people with AIDS). Red ribbons all around.

  5. That’s a cheap Batesville casket and they forgot to put the overlay over the gasket. Probably done intentionally, so the casket would look as trashy as her.
